Our featured pet this week is Jeeves.
Jeeves is a 2-year-old male Yellow Lab who must be neutered before he is adopted. He came to PAHS as a stray after being found out in the county. We just couldn’t believe his owner did not come looking for him. Jeeves is a most handsome fellow who has a yellow (some say blonde) coat.
He weighs in at 58 pounds so he is considered to be a large dog. Jeeves is a perfect example of why Labs are one of America’s most popular breeds. He is well behaved and good natured and he gets along well with everyone including children and other dogs. Our friendly Jeeves is going to make a tremendous family pet who will rapidly bond with his adopter. In fact, he loves people so much that we believe he might make a good emotional support dog. Jeeves would probably do best in home with an owner who is around a lot–maybe a retired person or someone who works from home. He has so much potential and is so eager to please–Jeeves is the total package of an awesome dog–brains, beauty, and loving as can be!
Our adoption fee is $120.00 for dogs and $50.00 for cats. Our adoption fees cover a microchip, microchip registration, discounted spay/neuter, deworming, vaccinations (as age and law requires), and a courtesy vet exam at participating offices. Unless otherwise indicated under “special needs” our dogs have screened heart worm negative. The shelter is located at 1009 Reuben Road in Prattville. Our regular hours are Monday through Saturday from 11 am until 4 pm. We do close one day each month for staff training which will be Thursday, July 29th.
Adoptions are currently by appointment only. Our shelter will be participating at the Prattville PetSmart for National Adoption Day from 10:00 until 2:00 on Saturday, July 24th.
