FROM PRATTVILLE AUTAUGA HUMANE SHELTER

Our pet of the week is Damon.
Damon is an 1-year-old male Shepherd? Doberman mix who must be neutered before he is adopted. This handsome boy was brought in as a stray and his owner never came looking for him. Damon has a gorgeous shiny black and tan coat. He currently weighs 37 pounds and we believe he will be a medium sized adult dog who will weigh no more than 60 pounds. He is a great big bouncing bundle of energy! Damon is super active and playful.
He would need a securely fenced yard where he could safely play. Damon would be good with other dogs and children. He appears to be very intelligent and would be an awesome candidate for obedience school. Damon has the potential to be an outstanding family dog but he does need someone who will take up plenty of time with him and be patient with him as he tries to curb his energy into acceptable behavior. Damon is just a great dog!
Our adoption fee is $120.00 for dogs and $50.00 for cats. Our adoption fees cover a microchip, microchip registration, discounted spay/neuter, deworming, vaccinations (as age and law requires), and a courtesy vet exam at participating offices. Unless otherwise indicated under “special needs” our dogs have screened heart worm negative. The shelter is located a 1009 Reuben Road in Prattville. Our regular hours are Monday through Saturday from 11 am until 4 pm. We do close one day each month for staff training which will be on Thursday, July 29th.
Adoptions are currently by appointment only. For more information about our shelter, please call 358-2882, find us on Facebook at Prattville/Autauga Humane Society, email [email protected]., or visit our website at www.prattvilleautaugahumane.org.
