Prattville 8u Allstar team competed in the USA State All Star tournament this weekend at Liberty Park Sports Complex in Birmingham. They went in the tournament 15-0 in the two pre-area and area tournaments. The girls competed against the best teams in the state (total of 20 teams) and went 5-0. They defeated Phenix City in the opener 29-3, beat Hwy 31 N-Red/White/Blue 17-9, followed by beating Hoover Chaos 19-8, and winning against Springville 15-4.
They ultimately met Springville again in the championship game and defeated them 17-2 for the state title. These girls ended their all star run by outscoring their opponents by 264 runs. Prattville averaged scoring 18 runs per game while only allowing on average 4.8 runs per game.
