This week is THE week for one of our adopted dog’s 6th annual ‘Yappy Barkday Pawty’ Fundraiser at Blue Ridge Animal Clinic, 4422 Wetumpka Hwy, Montgomery (in the Tallapoosa Crossings Shopping Center). Phoenix, adopted from our Shelter by Elizabeth, is not only a very special dog, but perhaps one of the luckiest dogs ever to have ended up being loved by Elizabeth & Russ. This is a week-long ‘party’ through Fri, 25 June from 7:30 am-noon & 1:30 – 5:30 pm daily. Phoenix is asking for donations of supplies (Elizabeth has a list at the Clinic or check out our website wish list at http://www.elmorehumane.org/hsec-wish-list.html) to help the Shelter or they will also take monetary donations which will help us pay for the never ending need for medical treatments, vaccines, spay/neuter surgeries and more.
Phoenix also has T-Shirts for $25, goody bags, bandanas, pens, cat & dog toys of all sorts, plus lots of special treats to take home and to thank everyone. Phoenix has raised thousands of dollars and truckloads of supplies for our Shelter which is just incredible and a testament to so many Blue Ridge Animal Clinic clients and their friends and families. So stop by Blue Ridge Animal Clinic this week and thank Phoenix, Elizabeth and everyone at the Clinic for helping our Shelter like this!
Our 15th Annual Bark in the Park at Fort Toulouse, Wetumpka will be on Sunday, 19 September from 1-5 pm and we are so looking forward to seeing everyone! There will be plenty of fun for human and dog alike with the Blessing of the Animals, Pet Parade, Pet Picasso Paw Painting, various vendors, yummy food, and more.
Vendor spots are still available, and Bark in the Park is a great place for folks to be able to learn about your business, product or service. We welcome local businesses, clubs, civic groups, etc. Our Vendor fee is only $35 and you must bring your own tables/pop-up/chairs. There is no electricity available so if you must bring a generator please let us know for site planning.
