Millbrook Street Department Director Brandon Harris is asking for residents to be patient with limb pickup this week.

This is a free service offered to Millbrook residents. However, he and his crew have been inundated with street repairs and removal of trees since the storms rolled through last night.

“Please know we are working as hard as we can. We have been doing a lot of storm work and road repairs. We had a pretty good-sized sink hole open up near Water Drive and Duncan Drive on Robinson Street, but that has now been repaired,” Harris said.

If you have debris that you need removed immediately, there is a drop off point across from the Millbrook Fire Department on Grandview Road.

“Otherwise, we will be doing our very best this week, but it could be next week before we get to everyone,” Harris said.

Harris said the areas that have required his department’s most attention are Cobbs Ford Road, Edgewood and Edgewood South.

Those areas remain closed, specifically Cobbs Ford Road from Main Street to I-65 and Edgewood South. Workers are repairing power poles, and removing trees this morning.
