The Autauga County Pet of the Week is Harley

From Ara Horn

Harley is a 3-year-old female Retriever mix who must be spayed before she is adopted.  She came to PAHS as a stray from a neighborhood and her owner never came to reclaim her.  Harley is a strikingly pretty girl who has a red coat that is beautiful.  She currently weighs 39 pounds and she is a little bit thin.  Harley is considered to be a medium sized dog.  She has such sleek and slender look to her she reminds us of a super model.  Harley also prances like a show pony.  She is a very sweet and affectionate gal who gets along with other dogs and children.  Harley is active and playful but not overly so.  She is leash trained and house trained.  Our resident beauty queen, Harley, is ready for a new start on life with a new home and a family who adores her.  She has everything she needs to be the perfect family dog except for the family.  Let’s make this happen for Harley and find her a great new life!

Our adoption fee is $120.00 for dogs and $50.00 for cats.  Our adoption fees cover a microchip, microchip registration, discounted spay/neuter, deworming, vaccinations (as age and law requires), and a courtesy vet exam at participating offices.  Unless otherwise indicated under “special needs” our dogs have screened heart worm negative.   The shelter is located at 1009 Reuben Road in Prattville.  Our regular hours are Monday through Saturday

from 11 am until 4 pm.  We do close one day each month for staff training—that day in April will be chosen soon.

Adoptions are currently by appointment only.  For more information about our shelter, please call 358-2882, find us on Facebook at Prattville/Autauga Humane Society, email autaugahumane@yahoo.com., or visit our website at www.prattvilleautaugahumane.org.
