Popeyes of Millbrook Has Slight Work Delay Due to Exterior Work

Many people have asked us about the progress of the Millbrook Popeyes, noting that work that was being done halted, then seemed to begin again with a different design.

City Engineer Stuart Peters explained the reason behind that at the Millbrook City Council meeting last week.

“Popeyes made some exterior adjustments,” Peters said. “They are working out details between the franchise and Corporate. It has delayed construction a little bit, but it is going to be a nice project.”

Work is being finished now and a grand opening should be announced soon.

Peters also talked about the Pines Golf Course and work that will begin soon.  That includes a new golf cart path and a new system that was approved last year.

“If you play golf out there, then you know how badly that is needed,” Peters said.

The Pines Golf Club is a public facility owned and operated by the City of Millbrook. The 18-hole scenic golf course features 6,318 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. The course rating is 68.5 with a slope rating of 113.

Rental services are available including pull carts and golf clubs. The practice area at the facility includes a separate putting green. Snack food and beverage options are available in the clubhouse.
