PAHS Pet of the Week: Meet Tansy! Friendly, Affectionate and Loving

FROM PRATTVILLE AUTAUGA HUMANE SHELTER

Our featured pet this week is Tansy.  She will be a great addition to someone’s home.

Tansy is an 1-year-old female Blue Heeler/Black Lab mix who must be spayed before she is adopted.  She came to PAHS when animal control picked her up in a neighborhood and her owner never came looking for her.  Tansy is a good looking girl who is mostly black with white markings and she has black freckles (or spots) on her white markings.  She currently weighs 47 pounds so she is considered to be a medium sized adult dog.  Tansy is the most comical dog we have made pictures of in a while!  She absolutely refused to stand up for her pictures!  We tried everything and she wasn’t having it!  Tansy does have 4 legs we promise; and all 4 of her legs work perfectly.  She is friendly, affectionate, and very loving.  We believe she would be great in a home with children and other dogs.  Tansy is a VERY laid back lady who is going to make someone a nice and calm new best friend.https://tracker.rescuegroups.org/pet?16337487&a=&h=

Our adoption fee for dogs is $120.00 and is $50.00 for cats.  Our adoption fees cover a microchip, microchip registration, discounted spay/neuter, deworming, vaccinations (as age and law requires), and a courtesy vet exam at participating offices.  Unless otherwise indicated under “special needs” our dogs have screened heart worm negative.   The shelter is located at 1009 Reuben Road in Prattville and regular hours are Monday through Saturday from 11 am until 4 pm.

We will be closed for the Christmas holidays on Thursday & Friday, December 24th & 25th.  We will be closed for New Years on Thursday & Friday, December 31st & January 1st.   For more information about our shelter, please call 358-2882, find us on Facebook at Prattville/Autauga Humane Society, email [email protected]., or visit our website at www.prattvilleautaugahumane.org.

We really appreciate your help in finding homes for these very special pets.

Sincerely,

Ara Horn
