The Montgomery Police Department is currently seeking the identity of a male wanted for Armed Robbery.
On Friday November 13, 2020 at approximately 7:10 pm, Montgomery Patrol Units responded to the 0-99 block of West Fairview Avenue in reference to shots fired. Contact was made with the complainant who described an unknown black male wearing all black clothing and a partial mask as the suspect. The suspect is captured on convenience store surveillance video putting bottles of beer in his waistband. The unknown male then approached the front counter of the convenience store and snatched three (3) Glass Bongs valued at $189.00 each and ran out the store without purchasing the merchandise.
The complainant advised that he grabbed his wooden bat and ran out the store in an attempt to retrieve the merchandise, however the unknown male fired one round in the direction of the complainant. The investigating Officer was able to locate one (1) 9mm spent shell casing and glass particles that appeared to be particles from one of the bongs taken from the store.
The unknown male was last seen in a black vehicle fleeing the scene towards South Perry Street. There were no injuries sustained by either the complainant or the unknown male during this incident.
