This year marks the 53rd celebration of the Autauga County Fair, and with COVID-19, it looks a little different.
But Wednesday night for the opening, a great crowd was present, wearing the mandatory masks needed to gain entry, with crew members cleaning after each ride or in designated eating areas.
Some of the normal attractions this year are not included, such as the canned goods, crafts, photos and artwork. But there was plenty of fun to be had, fair food, and this year there is no entry or parking fee.
You can enjoy the Autauga County Fair at Mac Gray Park in Prattville through Saturday, Oct. 17.
As Bob milled around the Fair taking shots, he spoke with a lot of people who said it was so enjoyable to be able to get out of the house for some family fun, but they were taking precautions. They appreciated seeing the workers taking care to clean and disinfect after each ride and throughout the grounds.
The animals were a big draw, as kids squealed with delight.
