Elmore First Responders Honored Today, Another Meal Offered this Evening at Millbrook Civic Center

ELMORE/AUTAUGA NEWS

Area church leaders have come together today to provide Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner to Elmore County First Responders across the county.

In Millbrook, the Civic Center offered breakfast and lunch to First Responders.  The final meal for the day will be offered “to go” and some meals will be delivered straight to the Millbrook Fire and Police Departments. The hope is that other first responders from different agencies will drop by for a meal and to be shown appreciation.

This initiative was started by the Elmore County Baptist Association of Wetumpka, but soon grew with other churches and volunteers joining in to cover as much ground as possible.

“A lot of our First Responders were recognized and covered today,” Pastor Janet Krantz, with Robinson Springs United Methodist, said.

So, to any first responders out there, drop by the Millbrook Civic Center tonight from some good food and to be reminded what you do every day is recognized and appreciated!

Dinner will be served at the Millbrook Civic Center on this side of the county from 5 to 7 p.m. Dinners will also be set aside for the 10 p.m. shifts as well.

Thank you to everyone across the county that lifted up our First Responders today with a good meal!
