FROM THE PRATTAUGA ART GUILD
The Prattauga Art Guild is excited to announce its 17th Annual Fall Art Show. This annual exhibit will feature works by artists from throughout the River Region in a variety of styles and art media. The show will open on Sunday, Oct. 4, with a virtual exhibit and announcement of awards.
Although we will hold a virtual show opening online, the Prattville Creative Arts Center and Gallery will have the artwork on exhibit for the public to visit throughout the month of October. In an effort to keep our members and our community as safe as possible, there will not be an opening reception. We will miss seeing our artists and visitors for the opening of the show, but will have the Gallery open for individuals or small groups, while following proper social distancing guidelines.
The deadline to submit entries has passed.
There are six categories and prizes will be awarded in each category. The categories include Opaque Painting, Transparent Painting, Drawing, Printmaking and Mixed Media and Collage, Photography, Sculpture, 3-D and Fiber Arts.
There also will be purchase awards sponsored by local businesses and individuals.
This exhibit is free and open to the public. The exhibit will be open throughout October during regular gallery hours, Fridays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Sundays from 1-4 p.m. Groups and individuals may request a tour of the gallery by contacting the Cultural Arts Office at 334-595-0850.
