A free summer concert series is coming to Millbrook’s Village Green Park beginning on June 4th.
This is the second year of “Tunes on the Green,” hosted by the City of Millbrook’s Parks and Recreation Department. The concerts will be held on June 4th, 14th and 18th and July 2nd and 16th from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.
The events may include food vendors. Coolers are welcome, but no alcohol is allowed. Bring your blankets and lawn chairs.
Ann Harper, the city’s economic development director, said local bands will perform for the event. The first band to play on June 4th will be H20, a group that performs everything from Motown hits such as “Just My Imagination” to eighties hits such as “Purple Rain.”
Bands for future concerts will be announced at a later date.
“These concerts give us a chance to showcase our park as well as get people out for a fun, family-friendly evening,” Harper said.
