ALEX CITY POST – A single-vehicle crash at 11:53 p.m., Saturday, Mar. 14, has claimed the life of a Notasulga man. Joey Wayne Nelson, 52, was killed when the 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer he was driving left the roadway and overturned. Nelson was not wearing his seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash occurred on Alabama 120 near Pearson Road, approximately 10 miles west of Notasulga. Nothing further is available as ALEA State Troopers continue to investigate.
