Shown here are two photos from the full public bid set that display the proposed improvements at the AL Highway 14/Jack’s existing intersection in Millbrook.  These are the only intersection improvements ALDOT will permit at this time.  These improvements are necessary to construct a Phase 1- four (4) lane highway connector to existing AL Highway 14.  These improvements are being constructed between the existing Jack’s Restaurant and future Popeye’s Restaurant parcels in close proximity to the Millbrook Taco Bell under construction.  The public bid date is set for March 18, 2020 at 2:00 PM-CST.

The City of Millbrook purchased this 300-foot segment next to Jacks to allow for this project to enable access to any future development. Directly behind this area is a large parcel of land which was annexed into the city last year. It holds great potential for future development and along I-65, Peters said.

Below is the official Advertisement for Bids for the new construction.
