PAHS Pet of the Week: Meet Maddie! Friendly, Sweet and Fine with Other dogs, children

FROM PAHS

Our featured pet this week is Maddie.  She is a loving and sweet little dog!

Maddie is an 1-year-old Terrier mix who must be spayed before she is adopted.  We know she is a Terrier mix but she has a strong resemblance to a Norfolk Terrier and a Cairn Terrier so we indicated both breeds in her bio.  Maddie has a medium length coat that has a definite wiry look and feel to it.  She is a precious little girl who only weighs 16 pounds.  Maddie came to PAHS as a stray and her owner never came looking for her.  Since she is an unclaimed stray we are still learning about her.  We know she is loving, friendly, and super sweet.  Maddie would be just fine in a home with other dogs and children.  She is leash trained and enjoys the attention she gets when she goes for a leash walk.  This precious little one is frisky and playful but not overly active.  Maddie has all she needs to be an excellent new friend and family member.  Come meet our little darling, Maddie, soon!

Our adoption fee for dogs is $120.00 and is $50.00 for cats.  Our adoption fees cover a microchip, microchip registration, discounted spay/neuter, deworming, vaccinations (as age and law requires), and a courtesy vet exam at participating offices.  Unless otherwise indicated under “special needs” our dogs have screened heart worm negative.  The shelter is located at 1009 Reuben Road in Prattville and is open Monday through Saturday from 11 am until 4 pm except one day each month when we close for staff development.  That will be on February 27th this month.  For more information about our shelter, please call 358-2882, find us on Facebook at Prattville/Autauga Humane Society, email autaugahumane@yahoo.com., or visit our website at www.prattvilleautaugahumane.org.

We thank you for helping us find homes for these precious pets.

Sincerely,

Ara Horn
