‘Wetumpka Axe’ To Celebrate Grand Opening Feb. 13 in Downtown Wetumpka

FROM THE CITY OF WETUMPKA

The City of Wetumpka is pleased to announce that we have a new business opening in downtown. WETUMPKA AXE will open on Thursday, February 13th at 5:00 PM.

They are located at 191 Spring Street. The owners of WETUMPKA AXE are proud to offer the ONLY axe throwing facility in Wetumpka and one of very few in Alabama. Axe throwing is like bowling 2.0. It’s also like darts, but actually fun.

Throw a sharp axe at a big, painted, wooden target. Score points by getting the axe stuck. Closer to bullseye = More Points. Is it safe, you asked? Of course, it is!

They’ve got a staff of fully trained coaches to make sure everyone is good to go. It might not look like it, but axe throwing is a very safe sport. You can go to their website at wetumpkaaxe.com to book your reservation. You can also walk-in or rent the facility for larger groups.

Don’t worry if you’ve never thrown an axe, before each session a coach will teach you everything you need to know! Safety, scoring, and throwing rules will all be covered by the coach. After that, our coaches will monitor the throwing area to drop knowledge and tips where they’re needed. Our coaches are there for your enjoyment and your safety.

The owners of WETUMPKA AXE believe people should be social and they believe in having a great time with great people. They also believe in supporting the little guys, which is why they decided to open their second location in Downtown Wetumpka, in a neighborhood full of other local businesses! Come to downtown Wetumpka and see why they LOVE the neighborhood! Check out downtown Wetumpka! You can shop, eat, drink, and now PLAY! All at local businesses, and all on one street. It’s awesome.

“I am extremely excited to have another great business locate in our city,” stated Mayor Jerry Willis. “It will be a fun addition to our downtown and compliments our other existing businesses. We welcome Wetumpka Axe to the business community.”
