Autauga County Technology Center to Host Community Open House Feb. 11

Mark your calendar and make your plans to attend the Autauga County Technology Center’s 2020 Career Day Community Open House to be held on Tuesday, February 11, 2020 from 5:00- 6:30 pm. The Prattville Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to partner with the Autauga County Technology Center (ACTC) for this amazing Community Wide event. The ACTC is one of our communities best kept secrets, and during this Community Wide Open House, ACTC will be opening their doors and allowing our community to see, experience and learn more about how they are preparing our Students to become valuable employees and our workforce of tomorrow! Here’s your opportunity to step inside, get inspired and see first-hand the programs of study and opportunities ACTC is offering your children, grandchildren and our students in Autauga County!

The ACTC provides area students with a diverse curriculum designed to prepare students for entry into the workforce or for further study in the postsecondary setting. The course of study offers classes that provide rigor and relevance for students by linking school-based learning with career-related experiences. Programs of study include: Agriconstruction, Auto Mechanics and Repair, Business Management, Construction, Cosmetology, Early Childhood Education, Engineering, Fire Science/Fire Fighting. Health Care, HVAC, Hospitality Management, Industrial Maintenance, Information Technology, Welding and much more!

During this event, some of our community’s most respected employers will be exhibitors during this event, and many will be providing hands-on, interactive tabletop exhibits or displays that will highlight what these local companies do and the skill set necessary to achieve it.
