A two-vehicle crash at 3:15 p.m. today, Jan. 30, has claimed the life of an Eclectic man. Earnest L. Meadows, 65, was killed when the 1999 Ford F-350, in which he was a passenger, was struck by a 2011 Ford Edge. Meadows was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash occurred on Alabama 63 at the intersection of Alabama 229, approximately seven miles north of Eclectic. Both drivers were transported to a local hospital with injuries. Nothing further is available as ALEA State Troopers continue to investigate.
