A Storybook Walk through Historic Wetumpka

As part of the Wetumpka Chamber’s “A Downtown Dickens Christmas” and the City’s “Christmas on the Coosa,” this month-long storybook walk will invite visitors to stroll through downtown while reading each page of “The Legend of the Christmas Tree” displayed at downtown businesses and paired perfectly with decorated Christmas trees. On December 13 enjoy a Christmas Concert featuring the Community Chorus and the Prattville Pops. This annual concert will delight the entire family with Christmas songs from films and Broadway and sing-a-longs. Parents Night Out (for kids) at Alabama Wildlife Federation

December 13th @ 5:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m.

Need to do some last-minute shopping for Christmas or wrap some presents? Let us watch the kids! They’ll have a blast while you get some shopping done. We will make Christmas crafts, enjoy an exciting live animal encounter, have a chick fil a dinner, watch a movie, and much more! Click here for details.

Front Porch Grill to Host Breakfast with Santa Dec. 14 from 7 to 10 a.m.; Will Benefit Operation Blue Santa. Mark your calendars! There will be FREE pancakes for kids 12 and Under. There will be a GREAT TIME for kids newborn to 100! We are also taking new, unwrapped toy donations for the Millbrook Police Department’s Operation Blue Santa!

Operation Blue Santa is a program started about five years ago by Lt. Don Pugh at the Millbrook Police Department. Through an application process, families are chosen to help with Christmas gifts for children in our area. All of this is done through donations of unwrapped toys, or monetary donations. You can drop new, unwrapped toys off at the Police Department in the lobby, or at the Front Porch Grill. Other locations will be noted along the way, as well, so stay tuned.

The Town of Eclectic will host A Walk Through Candy Land downtown Saturday, Dec. 14 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be games, shopping, vendors, food and much more.

Let your family’s holiday spirit soar with this festive holiday ballet. The Nutcracker Ballet – “Kingdom of the Sweets” begins with a magical storybook presentation which will leave you with cherished memories for years to come.

The “Kingdom of the Sweets” performance also features Prattville Ballet dancers in Candyland, where international good will ambassadors from China, Spain, Russia, Arabia, Flowers and the Sugar Plum Fairy come together to dance and celebrate the heroin’s victory of good over evil. The Nutcracker Ballet celebrates the power of human imagination and puts artistic life into fanciful childish dreams set to classical music of Tchaikovsky!

Christmas on the Coosa

Join us for this year’s Christmas on the Coosa celebration. We will begin the morning with our annual Character Breakfast of two sessions. The first session begins at 7:30 am and the second session begins at 9am. Soon to follow will be our Arts & Crafts vendors and food vendors which will be an all-day setup. The parade will begin at 2pm and the wake boarding show will begin at 4pm. At last, Santa will ski across the Coosa River at 6pm. We will end our night with the anticipated fireworks show.
