PAHS Pet of the Week: Meet Max! Classic Boxer, he is House Trained, knows Basic Commands and Behaved

Max is a 9-year-old male Boxer who has already been neutered.  He has the classic “Boxer” look with his brown coat, white markings, and docked tail.  We think he is a very handsome senior fellow.  In fact, he reminds us of one of the poker playing dogs in that classic picture of dogs at the poker table.  Max currently weighs 66 pounds so he is considered to be a large adult dog.  Even though he is an older dog Max has so much to offer to his adopter.  He is house trained, knows some basic commands (sit, shake, high five), leash trained, and super well behaved.  Max is calm, quiet, and gentle.  He would be just fine in a home with children and other dogs.  Please consider giving our southern senior gentleman a new loving home.  Please come out and take Max for a walk and you will see what an awesome dog he is!

Our adoption fee for dogs is $120.00 and is $50.00 for cats.  Our adoption fees cover a microchip, microchip registration, discounted spay/neuter, deworming, vaccinations (as age and law requires), and a courtesy vet exam at participating offices.  Unless otherwise indicated under “special needs” our dogs have screened heart worm negative.  The shelter is located at 1009 Reuben Road in Prattville and is normally open Monday through Saturday from 11 am until 4 pm.  For this months’ future reference, we will be closed for Christmas on December 24th and 25th.  Also, the following day, the 26th will be reserved for our monthly staff training.  For more information about our shelter, please call 358-2882, find us on Facebook at Prattville/Autauga Humane Society, email autaugahumane@yahoo.com., or visit our website at www.prattvilleautaugahumane.org.

Introducing these pets to the public really helps them find new, or first, homes.  Thank you for all you do.

Sincerely,

Ara Horn
