A Storybook Walk through Historic Wetumpka

As part of the Wetumpka Chamber’s “A Downtown Dickens Christmas” and the City’s “Christmas on the Coosa,” this month-long storybook walk will invite visitors to stroll through downtown while reading each page of “The Legend of the Christmas Tree” displayed at downtown businesses and paired perfectly with decorated Christmas trees. Maps to come!

Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Celebration

Enjoy the magical moment of the lighting of the Christmas Tree and other Christmas decorations throughout the City on Thursday, December 5, at 5:30 pm. Festivities include music, dancers, and lots of fun and surprises! The tree will be lit at 7:00 pm, and Santa will arrive at the same time. The City of Millbrook will host its Annual Tree Lighting at Village Green Park! Music begins at 5:30 p.m. with official program starting at 6 p.m. Come enjoy a hometown Christmas celebration with local students entertaining, a Live Nativity, food vendors and the beautiful lights of Village Green Park.

You’ll be transported back to scenes from “A Christmas Carol” with period carolers, Father Christmas on site for photos, authentic vendors, decorated downtown businesses, our annual snow in The Alleyway, as well as a Christmas Tree Walk around our whimsical historic business district.

SEHS Baseball Fundraiser/Pancake Breakfast – Raising funds to support Stanhope Elmore High School Baseball. Pancake Breakfast at Uncle Mick’s in downtown Prattville from 7-10 a.m. Take the kids so they can meet Santa! Tickets are just $5 each. Bring an unwrapped Child’s toy to breakfast for Toys for Tots to be entered into a drawing for a Walmart Gift Card!

The City of Millbrook will host the Annual Spirit of Christmas Festival and Parade! Come to Village Green for food and craft vendors beginning at 9 a.m. There will be live entertainment throughout the day, games, activities and fun for the entire family. THEN….At 2 p.m. get a good spot and be ready for the annual Christmas Parade to roll on Main Street from the Smokehouse Pit Barbecue up to the Millbrook Economic Development/Chamber of Commerce Building in front of Village Green Park. Catch some candy, toys and beads! Then, head back to the park for more shopping!

Saturday Christmas at the Alabama Nature Center in Millbrook

December 7th @ 9:30am-3:00pm

Join us for our 12th annual Christmas at the Alabama Nature Center. Enjoy hayrides, Christmas crafts, decorating cookies, a movie special and much more! Learn how to create your own nature ornament, get pictures with Santa, enjoy our Christmas movie special, and make sure to go on the hayride!  Christmas is always fun here at the ANC, we will have hot chocolate for sale and plenty of activities to keep you warm. Bring your camera and take a picture with jolly Ol’ Saint Nick! Open from 9am-5pm, activities from 9:30am-3:00pm | General admission applies and includes awesome events throughout the day!

Santa and Friends Visit Lake Jordan – 2019

Parents Night Out (for kids) at Alabama Wildlife Federation

December 13th @ 5:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m.

Need to do some last-minute shopping for Christmas or wrap some presents? Let us watch the kids! They’ll have a blast while you get some shopping done. We will make Christmas crafts, enjoy an exciting live animal encounter, have a chick fil a dinner, watch a movie, and much more! Click here for details.

DEC. 14

Front Porch Grill to Host Breakfast with Santa Dec. 14 from 7 to 10 a.m.; Will Benefit Operation Blue Santa. Mark your calendars! There will be FREE pancakes for kids 12 and Under. There will be a GREAT TIME for kids newborn to 100! We are also taking new, unwrapped toy donations for the Millbrook Police Department’s Operation Blue Santa!

Operation Blue Santa is a program started about five years ago by Lt. Don Pugh at the Millbrook Police Department. Through an application process, families are chosen to help with Christmas gifts for children in our area. All of this is done through donations of unwrapped toys, or monetary donations. You can drop new, unwrapped toys off at the Police Department in the lobby, or at the Front Porch Grill. Other locations will be noted along the way, as well, so stay tuned. More information is coming soon about Operation Blue Santa. For an application to apply for assistance with gifts, contact the Millbrook Police Department on their non-emergency line at 334.285.5603.

DEC. 14

The Town of Eclectic will host A Walk Through Candy Land downtown Saturday, Dec. 14 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be games, shopping, vendors, food and much more.
