The Autauga County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help to find more potential victims of a man accused of heinous crimes against children.

Back in July of this year, the Autauga County Sheriff’s Office arrested George Lamar Sanders, 24, on three counts of Sexual Abuse of a Child Less than 12 Years of Age, and one count of Rape 1st Degree.

Autauga County Sheriff Joe Sedinger believes there are more victims out there, and he is hopeful those victims will come forward with information that could lead to more charges.

“We hope that if the victims (or their families) know he is in custody, that will help them come forward,” Sedinger said. “We just need to get the word out.”

As the investigation has progressed, today Sanders was charged with three additional counts of Enticing a Child to Enter A Room for Immoral Purposes and two additional Counts of Rape 1st Degree.

Sanders has addresses in Autauga County and Montgomery County. He has been incarcerated at the Autauga Metro Jail since July 2, when he was first arrested. Investigator Cliff Clark said that Sanders knew his victims, and this was not a crime that was instigated through social media.

“We just want to see if we can reach out there and get more victims to come forward,” Investigator Clark said. “We have been investigating this all the way back to July, and sometimes these things take time.”

The Autauga County Sheriff’s Office asks that if you are aware of additional victims to contact them at 334.361.2500 or other local law enforcement agencies.
